Steve Paxton (icon of the post-modern dance and the founding father of the contact improvisation) is artist in residence with De Theaterschool Amsterdam from January 26th until February 13th, 2009.
With students of the SNDO & the Amsterdam Master of Choreography and in collaboration with het Lectoraat Kunstpraktijk en Artistieke Ontwikkeling Steve Paxton will work on a new version of his choreography Ave Nue (premiered at Kaaitheater, Brussel 1985).
The results of this research will be presented on February 12 & 13, 2009 to a limited audience (by invitation only). The try out on February 11th can be attended by students and teachers of the SNDO & the Amsterdam Master of Choreography.
