Gabriel in Spain & Senegal
Gabriel will be out of office on Thursday and Friday February 19 & 20, 2009 for a visit to Barcelona. Together with Leontien Wiering he will meet the director of the well known venue Mercat de les Flors, Francesco Casadesus ( a SNDO graduate!) to find out if he is interested in collaborating with us in showing students' work.
From April 3-17, 2009 Gabriel will be teaching in the Ecole des Sables, the dance school founded & run by Germaine Acogny in Dakar, Senegal. Germaine invited him to work on some concept development with the students of her school. Of course he will discuss future collaboration between both schools with Germaine.
SNDO shows work in Berlin?
Lea Martini (SNDO 4) took the initiative to contact some people in Berlin to find out the possibilities of showing the graduation performances there. Gabriel took over Lea's contact with Eva Marie Hoechster, who runs the HUTZ (our fellow school at the University in Berlin). At the moment SNDO is figuring out with the SNDO 4 students the possibilities of showing the graduation festival (Melkweg) in June in the Uferstudios in Berlin.
